following child complaint
In two separate
investigations, 11 more arrested for drugs
Mercer County Sheriff, Jeff
Grey reports On May 22nd, 2014 at 7:55 pm the Mercer County Sheriff’s
Office received a complaint from a citizen of unsafe living
conditions for two children residing at 5359 Karafit Road Celina,
Ohio.
Deputies responded to the
location, along with Mercer County Job and Family Services to check
on the status of the children. During the welfare check, deputies
found suspected drug paraphernalia, specifically used syringes, and
foil with suspected drug residue. The mother of the children
admitted to drug use prior to the arrival of the deputies. The
Children were removed from the home.
Arrested was 29 year old
Melissa Sue Beavers of 5359 Karafit Road Celina, Ohio. Beavers was
arrested for Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments, and incarcerated
at the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility. The case will be
reviewed further for possible additional charges.
Ten arrested in drug task
force investigation
Celina, Ohio – Mercer
County Sheriff Jeff Grey announced the indictment and Arrests of 10
persons. All of the charges are a result of an investigation by the
Grand Lake Task Force. The Task Force is a combined effort of law
enforcement agencies in Mercer and Auglaize Counties. The Celina
Police Department assisted with these apprehensions.
ARRESTED:
Amanda K. Krieg, Age 24,
Care of the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility. 3 Counts of
Trafficking in Heroin, Felonies of the 5th degree.
Billy R. Vanover, Age 31,
Care of the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility. 2 Counts of
Trafficking in Heroin, Felonies of the 5th degree.
Harrison R. Paul, Age 27,
222 1⁄2 Washington Street Celina, Ohio, 6 Counts of Trafficking in
Heroin, Felonies of the 5th Degree. Mr. Paul was taken into custody
on 5-22-2014 at the Mercer County Court House.
Zachary D. Sams, Age 24,
Care of ODRC Noble Correctional Institution Caldwell, Ohio, 2 Counts
of Trafficking in Heroin, Felonies of the 5th Degree. 1 Count of
Trafficking in Heroin, a Felony of the 4th Degree. A 2003 Ford
Taurus was also seized that was ordered along with the indictment.
Latisha L. Parker, Care of
the Auglaize County Detention Center Wapakoneta, Ohio, 3 Counts of
Trafficking in Heroin, Felonies of the 5th Degree.
Jess L. Belton, Age 28,
8029 US Route 33 Celina, Ohio, 2 Counts of Trafficking in Drugs
(Suboxone, a Schedule III drug), Felonies of the 5th Degree. Mr.
Belton was also issued a traffic citation for Driving under
suspension.
Christina M. Hall, Age 27,
84 Canal Street, Montezuma, Ohio, 2 Counts of Trafficking in Heroin,
Felonies of the 5th Degree.
Jeffrey P. Overly, Age 25,
341 West Fulton Street Celina, Ohio, 1 Count of Illegal Manufacture
of Drugs (Methamphetamine) a Felony of the 1st Degree. 1 Count
Illegal Assembly or Possession of Chemicals for the Manufacture of
Drugs (Methamphetamine), a Felony of the 2nd Degree.
Wesley W. Elam, Age 21, 310
West Fayette Street Celina, Ohio, 1 Count of Trafficking in Heroin, a
Felony of the 5th Degree.
Miranda M. Carr, Age 22,
232 South Ash Street Celina, Ohio, 1 Count of Trafficking in Heroin,
a Felony of the 4th Degree. 1 Count of Trafficking in Heroin, a
Felony of the 5th Degree. 1 Count of Trafficking in Drugs (Suboxone,
a Schedule III drug), a Felony of the 4th degree.
In addition to Carr, a John
Dulebohn age 33, of 232 South Ash Street was also taken into custody
on a warrant for Child Endangering, a misdemeanor.
The Sheriff’s Office and
Task Force are currently looking for one more individual on drug
indictments.
Dayton resident arrested in
Celina
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff
Grey reports that the Sheriff’s Office heroin unit arrested a
female subject on Wednesday evening in Celina. This arrest is
a
result of a concentrated effort to battle the Heroin problem in
Celina and Mercer County. “A tip was received that assisted
us in this case,” stated Sheriff Grey, “the public providing us
information through our tip line or website is vital to the
ongoing
efforts to rid our community of heroin.”
Arrested was 26 year old
Sara M DeVall of 1242 First Street Dayton, Ohio. DeVall was
stopped at 5:34 PM on Johnson St near Buckeye St in Celina.
DeVall was charged with Driving Left of Center and Operating a Motor
Vehicle Under the Influence. DeVall was also charged with
Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments. Syringes, empty
capsules,
spoon, and various prescription pills.
Preliminary tests show that
DeVall tested positive for Opiates, Cocaine and
Methadone.
The Sheriff’s Office requested assistance on the scene by the
Celina Police Department and the K-9 Unit from the Coldwater Police
Department. The case will be sent to the Prosecutor’s Office
with a request for additional felony charges.
