Toddler in
serious condition after alleged abuse

A 28-year-old man accused of seriously injuring his girlfriend’s
2-year-old daughter is behind bars.
Todd Clark turned himself in around 4:30 p.m. Saturday to the Miami
County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies had been looking for Clark for about
seven hours.
He was booked without bond into the Miami County Jail, where he is
being held on suspicion of child endangering, felonious assault and
domestic violence, online jail records show.

Miami County officers have arrested the suspect, Todd Clark, WHIO’s
Steve Baker reports.
Further details have not yet been released about the arrest nor the
case.
FIRST REPORT
Miami County deputies are on the lookout Saturday for a man accused of
causing injuries to a 2-year-old girl.
The Miami County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public’s help in
locating Todd Clark, 28, of Bradford.
Clark is wanted on suspicion of domestic violence and felonious assault.
The alleged victim is the 2-year-old daughter of his girlfriend,
according to Sgt. Todd Tennant.
Clark was left to care for the toddler while her mother was at work.
Tennant said when the mother returned home, she found her daughter with
facial bruises and head injuries.
The child was taken to Dayton Children’s Hospital in serious condition.
Hospital staff called children services because of the nature of the
injuries and children services contacted the sheriff’s office.
Tennant said Clark blamed the injuries on a box spring that fell on the
child.
Clark is driving a black Pontiac Sunfire with 30-day tags.
