Beagle Attends
Emerson Groundbreaking
Innovative Center Expected to Add 35 Jobs to Dayton Area
COLUMBUS—State Senator Bill Beagle (R-Tipp City) today attended the
groundbreaking for the over $34.5 million Emerson Innovation Center,
built on University of Dayton property.
“It is exciting to see a place like Emerson Innovation Center open here
in our community,” said Beagle. “I look forward to watching the
positive impact this facility will have on our community and working
with our development partners as this project progresses.”
The cost of the project includes $20 million in capital investments, as
well as $5 million in incentives from the Ohio Third Frontier. Beagle,
who is a member of the advisory board for the Ohio Third Frontier, as
well as the Chairman of the Senate Workforce and Economic Development
Committee, has focused on economic development and successfully
changing the trajectory of Ohio's economy.
Emerson Innovation Center will develop next-generation heating,
ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technology and is
expected to open in spring 2016. The center is expected to create
approximately 35 new jobs.
