Four arrested
following meth lab bust
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey reports that a joint investigation with
the Celina Police Department resulted in the arrest of four individuals
in connection with a methamphetamine lab. On Thursday September
18, Mercer County Deputies and Celina Police Officers applied for and
were granted a search warrant for a residence and property located at
2521 Mud Pike, Celina. Two active methamphetamine cook operations
were discovered while serving the search warrant.
Taken into custody were the following individuals:
Lloyd Fickert, 57, owner of the property, 2521 Mud Pike, Celina Ohio.
Richard Craw, 51, 4837 St Rt 29, Celina Ohio.
Chester Sullivan, 42, 123 East Walnut Street, Coldwater, Ohio.
Kevin McDowell, 47, 107 Bayview Drive, Celina Ohio.
All four were arrested and incarcerated in the Mercer County Adult
Detention Facility being held initially for Possession of a Controlled
substance, and bond was set for $25,000.00 cash by Municipal Court
Judge James Scheer.
Deputies seized the following:
400 grams of marijuana
16 firearms
60 ounces of liquid methamphetamine
Prescription pills
Drug paraphernalia, which would include: scales, packaging items, and
marijuana pipes.
Deputies were assisted on scene by an agent with BCI&I whose
specialty is securing and cleaning of methamphetamine labs.
Deputies were also assisted by the Celina Fire Department & Squad,
with additional equipment from the Chickasaw Fire Department.
Additional charges are expected to be filed, and the case will be sent
and reviewed by the Mercer County Prosecutor.
