arrest
Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey and Celina Police Chief Tom Wale
reports the arrest of a male on drug related charges. On February
17, 2015 at 6:13 PM a deputy stopped a vehicle behind J’s bar on SR
703. Deputies received information from HIT (Heroin Interdiction
Team) of a male possibly transporting drugs back to Mercer
County. During a search of the vehicle deputies and a patrolman
from Celina PD located a syringe and 4 capsules with suspected heroin
inside.
Arrested was 32 year old Jordan Bowers of Celina. Bowers was
charged with possession of drug abuse instruments (A Misdemeanor of the
2nd degree). Bowers was also charged with numerous driving under
suspension violations. Additional charges are expected, and the
case will be forwarded on to the Mercer County Prosecutor for review of
appropriate felony charges.
HIT is a combined effort of man power and resources consisting of
deputies with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and Patrolman from the
Celina Police Department.
