accidents on SR 47 and US 127
Injury accident on
SR 47
On January 24, 2015 at approximately 10:30 PM Darke County Deputies
along with Ansonia Fire, Ansonia Rescue, and CareFlight were dispatched
to the 4900 Block of State Route 47 reference a one vehicle injury
accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a red 2005 Chevy pickup truck,
driven by Karen Reier of Ansonia, was traveling east on State Route 47.
Ms. Reier went off the left side of the road and came to rest in a
ditch.
Reier was transported to the CareFlight landing zone at the Darke
County Criminal Justice Center by Ansonia Rescue and then transported
to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's
Office.
Injury Accident on
U.S. 127
On January 25, 2015 at approximately 4:01 am Darke County Deputies
along with New Madison Fire, Tri-Village Rescue and Indiana University
Air Life Line were dispatched to the 3900 block of US Route 127 in
reference to a single vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a black 2001 Chevrolet Impala driven
by Jordan Perry, 19, Dayton, Ohio was southbound on US Route 127. Perry
traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a utility
pole. Perry was trapped in the vehicle until New Madison Fire
department extracted him by mechanical means. The 3900 block of US
Route 127 was closed for approximately 3 hours.
Perry was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital by Indiana University Air
Life Line where his condition is unknown.
The Darke County Accident Reconstruction Team was also called to the
scene.
