Injury accident
on Sweitzer and Fair
On July 22, 2015 at 3:01 PM, Darke County Deputies along with
Greenville Police, Greenville Rescue and Greenville Fire, responded to
the intersection of Sweitzer Street and Fair Street on a report of a
3-vehicle injury crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed a Yellow 2014 Ford Escape driven by
Jeffrey Saye 50, of Independence, MO. was traveling north on Sweitzer
Street approaching Fair Street with a red stop light and rear-ended a
Black 2014 Chevy Equinox stopped in traffic, driven by Gary Mihlbachler
49, of Cincinnati, OH. causing his Chevy Equinox to rear-end another
stopped vehicle, a 2014 Maroon Buick LeSabre driven by Betty Hartzell
60, of Greenville, OH.
Mr. Saye was treated at the scene for a minor arm injury, and the other
drivers were not injured. Mr. Saye was cited for assured clear
distance ahead.
