Suspect
captured after pursuit
On July 8, 2015 at approximately 3:30 PM Darke County deputies along
with the assistance of the Greenville and Ansonia Police Departments
attempted to locate and check the safety and welfare of an
individual. Throughout the course of this investigation, numerous
areas throughout Darke County were checked.
At approximately 11:12 PM, Darke County deputies located the vehicle
the individual was operating in the area of US127 and Childrens
Home-Bradford Road. Positive identification of the individual
operating the vehicle was confirmed at that time. As deputies
followed the vehicle, the vehicle began to speed away and a short
pursuit ensued on Greenville-Celina Road, just south of Childrens
Home-Bradford Road. The vehicle stopped in front of a business in
the 1500 Block of Wagner Avenue and the driver fled on foot. The
driver, identified as John T. Paris 39, Ansonia, OH, was apprehended
and taken into custody.
Paris is currently being held at the Darke County Jail pending charges
filed with the Darke County Prosecutor’s Office.
