Driver in
critical condition following single vehicle accident
On March 20, 2015 at approximately 7:01 a.m. Darke County Deputies
along with Gettysburg Fire Department, Gettysburg Rescue, Greenville
Township Rescue and CareFlight were dispatched to 8500 block of
Childrens Home Bradford Road in reference to a single vehicle injury
accident. The caller reported a vehicle in a field with a female
yelling for help.
Preliminary investigation revealed a gold 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven
by Julia M. Frye, 30, Greenville, Ohio was eastbound on Childrens Home
Bradford Road in the 8500 block. Frye drove off the right side of
roadway and over corrected traveling off the left side of roadway.
Frye's vehicle rolled approximately three times coming to rest in the
field. Frye was ejected from the vehicle.
Frye was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by Greenville Rescue
where she is listed in critical condition. CareFlight could not fly due
to the weather.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's
Office.
