Injury accident
at 118 & 705
Burkettsville- On March 28, 2015 at 9:39 a.m. Darke County
Deputies, along with Burkettsville Fire, Rossburg Fire and Ansonia
Rescue, were dispatched to SR118 at SR705 reference to a two vehicle
injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2011 Honda Fit, driven by
Brian Sutton (47) of Tipp City, was eastbound on SR705 and failed to
stop at the stop sign at SR118. Sutton's vehicle was struck by a
2014 Ford F-150, driven by Michael Lundvall (54) of Versailles, which
was northbound on SR118. Both Lundvall and Sutton's vehicles went
off the northeast corner of the intersection causing Lundvall's vehicle
to overturn and roll.
Lundvall was treated at the scene by Ansonia Rescue and refused
transport. Sutton was treated by Ansonia Rescue and was
transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight with serious injury.
At this time this accident remains under investigation by the Darke
County Sheriff's Office.
