Mercer drug
bust nets 12
Celina, Ohio – Mercer County Sheriff Jeff Grey and Celina Chief Tom
Wale announced the indictment and arrests of the following
persons. All of the charges are a result of an
investigation by the Drug Unit (Grand Lake Task Force). The Grand
Lake Task Force includes agencies from Mercer and Auglaize
Counties. The Drug Unit in Mercer County is a combined
effort of law enforcement agencies which currently include the
Sheriff’s Office, Celina Police Department, and the Fort Recovery
Police Department
ARRESTED:
Biviano Ortiz-Garcia (Jr), Age 25, Care of the Mercer County Adult
Detention Facility. 2 Counts of Trafficking in Heroin, Felonies
of the 5th degree, and 1 Count of Trafficking in Heroin, a Felony of
the 4th degree. Previously arrested for possession of drug abuse
instruments in January and March of 2015.
Josh J. Tullis, Age 31, Care of the Mercer County Adult Detention
Facility. 1 Count of Trafficking in Heroin, a Felony of the 4th
Degree, 1 Count of Trafficking in Cocaine, a Felony of the 4th Degree,
and 1 Count of Trafficking in Counterfeit Controlled Substances, a
Felony of the 4th Degree. Previously arrested for trafficking in
drugs in 2014.
Nigel A. Allen, Age 27, Care of the Shelby County Ohio Jail. 1
Count of Trafficking in Heroin, a Felony of the 5th Degree, and 1 Count
of Trafficking in Cocaine, a Felony of the 5th Degree. Mr. Allen
is currently incarcerated in the Shelby County Jail on felony
possession of drugs. Previously arrested for possession of drugs
in 2006.
Simon Rios, Age 33, 420 South Main Street Apt. 4, Celina, Ohio. 1
Count of Aggravated Trafficking (Fentanyl), a Felony of the 3rd Degree,
and 1 Count of Trafficking in Heroin, a Felony of the 5th
Degree.
Ronald D. Mock, Age 29, 209 Northview Drive Coldwater, Ohio, 1 Count of
Trafficking in Heroin, a Felony of the 5th Degree, and 1 Count of
Trafficking in Heroin, a Felony of the 4th degree.
Previously arrested for possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia in
2004. Mock was found at 310 ½ West Fayette Street in
Celina. This residence was searched by deputies. Deputies
seized several pipes, syringes, and other drug paraphernalia.
They also recovered 216 capsules. 53 of the capsules contained
suspected heroin. A vehicle was also ordered to be seized
in the indictment for Ronald Mock. Deputies seized a 2005 maroon
Pontiac Sunfire, which is registered and owned by Ronald Mock.
Joshua E. Kittle, Age 31, 420 South Main Street Apt. 4, Celina,
Ohio. 1 Count of Aggravated Trafficking (Fentanyl), a Felony of
the 4th degree, 1 Count of Trafficking in Heroin, a Felony of the 5th
Degree, and 1 Count of Trafficking in Cocaine, a Felony of the 5th
Degree. Previously arrested for trafficking in drugs in 2012 and
possession of drug paraphernalia in 2014. Kittle turned himself
into the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office at approximately 4:30 PM on
3-25-2015.
Ian L. Hemmelgarn, Age 36, 4181 Oregon Road, Celina, Ohio. 1
Count of Illegal Manufacture of Drugs (Methamphetamine), a Felony of
the 1st Degree, 1 Count of Illegal Assembly or Possession of Chemicals
for the Manufacture of Drugs (Methamphetamine), a Felony of the 2nd
Degree, 1 Count of Endangering Children, a Felony of the 3rd Degree,
and 1 Count of Having Weapons Under Disability, a Felony of the 3rd
Degree. Also listed under these indictments is the forfeiture of
two guns. Previously been arrested for drug possession and
possession of paraphernalia in 2004.
Kelli J. Rutter, Age 19, 7419 Fleetfoot Road, Celina, Ohio. 3
Counts of Trafficking in Heroin, Felonies of the 5th Degree.
Previously arrested for possession of drugs in 2014.
Sierra L. Chambers, Age 20, 751 Deford Street, Celina, Ohio. 1
Count of Trafficking in Heroin, a Felony of the 5th Degree.
Chambers turned herself into the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at
approximately 4:30 PM on 3-25-2015.
Joshua P. Bernholt, Age 26, 1010 Hawthorne Street, Celina, Ohio. 3
Counts of Trafficking in Marijuana, Felonies of the 4th Degree, 1 Count
of Trafficking in Heroin, a Felony of the 4th Degree, and 1 Count of
Trafficking in a Counterfeit Controlled Substance, a Felony of the 4th
Degree. Previously been arrested for possession of drug
paraphernalia in 2007, trafficking in drugs in 2009, trafficking in
drugs in 2011, and possession of drug abuse instruments in 2011 and
again in 2015.
Kayla M. Bernholt, Age 23, 1010 Hawthorne Street, Celina, Ohio. 1
Count of Trafficking in Marihuana, a Felony of the 4th Degree, and 1
Count of Trafficking in Marihuana, a Felony of the 5th Degree.
James Morris, Age 23, 440 Touvelle Lot 2, Celina, Ohio. He was
arrested on an indictment for 1 Count of Possession of Heroin, a Felony
of the 5th degree. Morris’s indictment was a result of a Celina
Police Department investigation, not the Drug Unit.
