Injury Accident
on SR 49 South
On November 24, 2015 at approximately 6:57 a.m. Darke County Deputies,
Arcanum Rescue, New Madison Fire were dispatched to 4600 block State
Route 49 for a two vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation has revealed a 2004 Chrysler Sebring driven
by Paige McCool (Arcanum, Ohio) was traveling north on Jaysville St.
Johns Rd. The second vehicle was a 2014 Toyota Scion driven by Donovan
Veeley (Beavercreek, Ohio) was traveling North West on State Route 49.
The 2004 Chrysler Sebring pulled from the stop sign into the path of
the 2014 Toyota Scion. The 2014 Toyota Scion hit the 2004 Chrysler
Sebring in the passenger side pushing it off the roadway into an area
of grass on the North West corner of the intersection.
Donovan was treated and released at the scene. Paige was transported by
Arcanum Rescue to Wayne Healthcare. Paige was treated and released from
Wayne Healthcare.
