Marijuana Issue 3 fails
Issue 1 passed 71 to 29 percent. Issue 2 passed by about a 52 to 48
percent margin. Issue 3 defeated 65 to 35 percent.
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine issued the following statement
tonight regarding Issue 3: "Tonight's vote is a resounding statement
that Ohioans do not support the enshrinement of marijuana cartels in
Ohio's Constitution. Tonight is a great victory for Ohio's families,
public safety, and the democratic process."
In Darke County, Issue 1 received 10,829 votes for, 4,608 against.
Issue 2 received 9,841 votes for, 6,338 against. Issue 3 received
4,170 for and 12,187 against.
Greenville City School Districts renewal operating levy passed 3,900 to
2,746.
Of the remaining 23 tax levies, all passed except: 8 Newton LSD Income
Tax Renewal (Darke County voters only), 10 Arcanum Village Police
additional tax, and 22 Union City Village Income Tax.
