Beef and Bees
From Sam Custer
OSU Extension, Darke County
Four new articles have been posted in this week’s 983rd issue of the
Ohio BEEF Cattle letter:http://u.osu.edu/beef/
Tis the season for the higher nutritional demands of the momma cow that
come along with an aggressively nursing and growing calf this time of
year in Ohio . This week John Grimes emphasizes the need to monitor
body condition closely as breeding season is quickly approaching, or in
some cases, upon us.
Articles this week include:
The Clock Is Ticking
Bull Sales Closely Follow Market Trends
National Animal Health Monitoring System Prepares for National Study
Is Time Running Out On Potential For Stronger Cattle Prices?
Each month during the “beekeeping season” (April through October) we
offer a free webinar, then post the recordings for easy access at any
time. Yesterday was our first monthly beekeeping webinar of the 2016
season, Monitoring 2.0 to Reduce Colony Losses with Alex Zomchek.
