Swartzel, Hicks
arrested for drug trafficking
Sheriff Jeff Grey and Celina Chief Tom Wale announced drug arrests made
by the Grand Lake Task Force. Arrested were Richard
Swartzel, age 32, 537 Touvelle Street Lot 68A, and Jessica R. Hicks,
age 30, also of 537 Touvelle Street Lot 68A. Both Swartzel and
Hicks were arrested for trafficking in drugs (Heroin), being felonies
of the 5th degree.
On April 11, 2016 at approximately 3:40 PM Task Force deputies
conducted a buy bust operation, with heroin being purchased.
Uniform deputies along with Celina Police officers secured the
residence on Touvelle Street while a search warrant was applied for,
and granted. Task Force deputies recovered multiple used
and unused syringes, suspected methamphetamine, assorted prescription
medication, multiple empty capsules with suspected heroin residue
inside, a small amount of cash, and various other drug paraphernalia.
This operation was a result of several tips received by the public and
an investigation by the Task Force. The investigation is ongoing,
and will be forwarded to the Mercer County Prosecutor for consideration
of additional charges
