Armed robbery
at Dollar General
On 4-18-2016 at approx.. 2:22 pm Mercer County Sheriff’s Office
received a 911 call from Dollar General located at 401 West Bridge St
in Rockford Ohio. A white male approx.. 5’10 to 6’ stalky build,
wearing an orange Texas Longhorn long sleeve shirt, white ball cap with
sunglasses on top, blue jeans with white tennis shoes had entered the
store and browsed around for a few minutes before displaying a handgun.
The suspect then demanded money and the employees complied. The male
then exited Dollar General without incident and fled in a south east
direction.
Rockford Police responded and established a perimeter. Assisting was
also K-9 unit from Celina Police, Deputies from the Mercer County
Sheriff’s Office, Coldwater Police and the Ft Recovery Police. K9
search was conducted of the area and was able to track around two
blocks.
The description of the possible suspect vehicle is a mid-90’s Chevy
Tahoe silver in color with Indiana handicap plate. The male that was
driving the vehicle is described as mid 40’s, shaved head, white tank
top multiple distinctive tattoos. Suspect took off sound bound from the

Update… The Rockford Police is requesting assistance in the continuing
investigation of the Dollar General armed robbery on April 18th,
2016. The unidentified subject in the attached photo may have
information relevant to the investigation. If anyone has information
