in drug-related shooting
Six adults and two minors were arrested Feb. 11 related to a shooting
at Ambassador Park in Fort Recovery.

Celina for a drug deal with a juvenile from Fort Recovery. They had no
intention of paying for the drugs. During the robbery attempt, the
juvenile pulled out s small caliber firearm and shot two of them. One
of the injured, Julien Kocak, 19, has been cleared by the hospital for
incarceration. The other, a juvenile, will be incarcerated when cleared
by the hospital.
Five adults were arrested for robbery, a second degree felony, and
obstructing official business, a fifth degree felony. They are Kody
Chilcoat, 19, Brandon Riley, 18, Samantha Ringo, 18, Morgan Perry, 18,
and Kocak, all of Celina.
Arrested for robbery, a second degree felony, were Dominic Disalvo, 18,
Celina, and a 14-year-old juvenile female from Rockford.
The shooter, a 17-year-old male from Fort Recovery, was arrested in
Darke County by Mercer and Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies. The male
has a Fort Recovery address that is in Darke County. The firearm
believed to be used was recovered by Darke County Deputies.
In addition to the arrests, three vehicles were seized. The adults are
being held in the Mercer County jail; the juveniles are being held in
juvenile detention centers throughout Ohio.
Grey said, “as tragic as this case is, it shows the quality of law
enforcement in Mercer County.” He also noted the aid of Lima and Darke
County Law enforcement. Participating in the arrest and investigation
are Mercer County Sheriff, Darke County Sheriff, Fort Recovery Police,
Celina Police, and Mercer County and Darke County Prosecutor’s Offices.
“It is amazing to watch all the agencies pull together and work
together,” Grey said. “This is how the criminal justice system is
supposed to work together.”
