Ansonia FFA
students set up Buddy Bench
A joint venture was recently completed At Ansonia Elementary. A
bench was purchased as Ansonia Lumber which was then painted by the FFA
students. Mrs. Turnmire the HS Art Teacher added the lettering
and artwork so the elementary kids could have a Buddy Bench at
recess. What's a Buddy Bench? If you're playing at recess
and don't have someone to play a game, you go sit on the bench.
This is a nonverbal way to say, "I need a friend!" When someone
notices you they can go over and invite you to their game!
