Montessori celebrates National Montessori Education Week
Open enrollment for toddlers, preschoolers and kindergartners
The DeColores Montessori School located in Greenville, Ohio celebrated
Montessori Education Week, February 28 – March 4. During the week,
Mayor Bowers stopped by and declared the week “National Montessori
Education Week.” He also visited and talked with our students about
what they liked about DeColores. We appreciated his visit and the
declaration. Also during the week, our students celebrated Maria
Montessori and her passion and vision for Montessori education. They
drew pictures, learned interesting facts, and talked about what
Montessori education meant to them. We also took a fun school picture!
The week ended with our 6th grade Solo & Ensemble Performance at
the First Presbyterian Church. A special event featuring our sixth
graders and their love of music education. It was a wonderful week of
celebration and appreciation for Montessori educators.
DeColores is also holding Open Enrollment for the 2016/2017 school
year. Families with toddlers (ages 1-2), preschoolers (ages 3-5), and
kindergartners (ages 5-6) are encouraged to call Chris Seger at
937-547-1334 to set-up a tour and visit. Students enrolling in
Kindergarten must be five by August 1, 2016. We would love to show you
around our school and what makes DeColores such a special place.
DeColores is a chartered, non-public school for grades K-9 and a
certified Ohio Department of Human Services Pre-School and Day Care
provider. Our goals are for the students to be open-minded and
compassionate; to gain a sense of themselves and others; and to
understand and appreciate the diversity of the human spirit. We are
affiliated with The American Montessori Society, and licensed by The
State Board of Education, and The Ohio Department of Human Services Day
Care Licensing.
