IFD Welcomes
Summer Intern Brittany Ulman
IFD (International Floral Distributors} has filled their 2016 Summer
Internship position. Brittany Ulman was selected from candidates that
applied for the internship via IFD's application on indianaintern.net.
Brittany Ulman is an Ansonia, Ohio native and is currently a senior
Creative Writing student at Ball State University and has minors in
Professional Writing & Emerging Media and Spanish. She has been a
part-time contributor for the online newspaper, County News Online, for
over three years as well as a Publicity Team member for the Ball State
English Department's online literary journal, the Digital Literature
Review, this past spring. Last summer, Brittany worked as the intern
for Wayne HealthCare's Marketing Director as well as the intern for
Main Street Greenville's Executive Director, both of which took place
in Greenville, Ohio.
As part of IFD this summer, Brittany will write several press releases
and articles for IFD and its Flower Trends Forecast. She will also be
working on various projects aimed at enhancing distributor services for
IFD's vendor partners, including adding vendor partner display ads to
the IFD websites. Additionally, Brittany will be participating in IFD
committee and board meetings throughout the summer to acquire a better
understanding of the industry. Finally, Brittany will often be in
charge of sending out the emails for the monthly updates for Flower
Trends Forecast.
We at IFD are excited to have Brittany on board with us this summer and
look forward to her contributions to the success of IFD. We are also
hoping that this internship will be a stepping stone to grow IFD's
internship program in the future. Furthermore, it is our goal that we
will one day be able to not only offer an internship, but a scholarship
as well.
IFD is a consortium of floral distributors with 55 locations across the
United States providing quality fresh flowers and florist supplies to
florists and event floral specialists. IFD is owned by 19 floral
distributors who are dedicated to serving the unique needs of companies
