Single vehicle
accident on U.S. 127 South
On November 16, 2016 at approximately 10:46 PM Darke County Deputies
along with Tri-Village Rescue, Tri-Village Fire, Arcanum Police
Department and Lifeline were dispatched to US Rt. 127 just south of
Arcanum Hollansburg Rd. in reference to a one vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed Jena Garland (37) of West
Alexandria, Ohio was driving a gray 2000 Buick Century southbound on US
Rt. 127. Ms. Garland traveled off the right side of roadway striking a
mailbox and a utility pole. Ms. Garland was trapped inside vehicle. Ms.
Garland was extricated from the vehicle. Ms. Garland was airlifted to
Miami Valley Hospital for her injuries.
Ms. Garland is listed in stable condition.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s
Office.
