Injury accident
US 127 at Oliver Road
On September 08, 2016 at approximately 1:30 PM Darke County Deputies
along with Greenville Township Fire, Greenville Township EMS, Ohio
Motor Carrier Inspector and CareFlight were dispatched to US Rt. 127 at
Oliver Road in reference to a two vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed Michelle Thobe 47 (Versailles, Ohio)
was driving a silver 2000 Honda Accord southbound on US Rt. 127. Derrik
Bales 28 (Arcanum, Ohio) was driving a white 2001 International 9200
southbound on US Rt. 127. Mr. Bales was slowing down to turn left onto
Oliver Road. Mrs. Thobe failed to stop prior to striking the semi
tractor trailer in the rear.
Michelle Thobe was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight.
Unknown on condition at this time.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s
Office.
