Motorcycle vs deer accident on S.R. 185

On June 10, 2017 at 1:47 p.m. Darke County Sheriffs Deputies along with Bradford Fire, Bradford Rescue and Miami Valley Careflight responded to the 8800 block of State Route 185 on a deer versus motorcycle accident. Preliminary investigation revealed that a northbound 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle was struck by a deer. The impact caused both occupants of the motorcycle to be ejected.

The driver, David Bowman (43), of Troy, was transported by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospitalwhere he is listed in stable condition. The passenger, Jennifer Robinette (39), also ofTroy, was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center by Bradford Rescue where she is listed in stable condition as well.

This case remains under investigation.
