Injury accident at SR 121 and Oliver Road

On March 19, 2017 at 6:21 AM Darke County Sheriffs Deputies along with Gettysburg Rescue, Gettysburg Fire and Miami Valley Careflight responded to an injury accident at the intersection of State Route 121 and Oliver Road.
 
Preliminary investigation reveals that a 2003 Ford Taurus driven by Roger Simons (67), of Greenville, travelled west onto Oliver Road from State Route 121.  Mr. Simons vehicle struck an eastbound 1997 GMC Jimmy driven by Gayle Rhoades (78), of Greenville.  Mr. Rhoades was stopped at the stop sign on Oliver Road.  Mr. Simons was transported by Careflight to Miami Valley Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
 
This accident remains under investigation
