One vehicle injury
accident on S.R. 722
On January 26, 2018 at approximately 3:59 pm Darke County Deputies
along with New Madison Fire,Tri-Village Rescue,Arcanum Rescue,Eldorado
Rescue, and MedFlight responded to the 2900 block of State Route 722 on
a report of a one vehicle injury crash into a utility pole.
Preliminary investigation revealed a Gold 1996 Oldsmobile Cutlass
driven by Hayley L. Burns 19, of Greenville was traveling westbound on
State Route 722 when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the
roadway then back onto the roadway, over-correcting and then traveled
back off the right side of the roadway and colliding with a utility
pole. The front seat passenger Thor Abelquist 16, of West Manchester
was transported to Wayne HealthCare by Eldorado Rescue for possible
injuries, and backseat passenger Tre'Lyn Enis 18, of Greenville was
flown to Miami Valley Hospital by MedFlight for her injuries. All
occupants were wearing seat belts.
This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff's
Office.
