Two-vehicle injury accident on U.S. 127

At approximately 4:12 p.m. Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two vehicle injury accident on US 127 north of Horatio Harris Creek Road along with Greenville Township Rescue and Greenville Township Fire Department.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2004 Buick LeSabre driven by Jarrod Archer (18), of Arcanum, was traveling southbound on US 127. Mr. Archer’s vehicle traveled into the northbound lane striking the northbound 2012 Chrysler Town and Country driven by Angela Fahncke (31), of Minster.

Both Mr. Archer and Ms. Fahncke were taken from the scene by Greenville Rescue. Mr. Archer was taken to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office where he was transferred to Miami Valley’s Careflight and taken to Miami Valley Hospital. Ms. Fahncke was taken to Wayne Hospital.

At this time Mr. Archer’s condition is unknown.

This accident remains under investigation.
