Arts Week All Day
Camp about Legends
From Julie Brewer
Arts Week 2018 was based on the theme "Legends." With about 70 students
participating in this free all-day camp, the creative juices were
flowing!
County art teachers Ashley Austerman (Mississinawa), Ruth Estes
(Bradford), and Sarah Sutter (Versailles) helped students work on
various projects including paper mache dragons, swords, and other
medieval paraphernalia; metal tooling crests; watercolor treasure maps;
batik pillows; glass and clay dragon eyes; clay wizards; and woven yarn
dragon eyes.
Friday evening, the students hosted an art exhibit of their work to
share with friends and family.
Arts Week staff and students would like to thank the following sponsors
for helping to make the event possible:
Midmark Corporation
The Village of Gettysburg Youth Fund
Greenville National Bank
Brown Family Foundation
