Sally L. Amspaugh

Sally L. Amspaugh, 68, of Union City, OH completed her earthly journey on July 21, 2011 and is at eternal rest with Jesus.  Born November 13, 1942 to the late Melvin and Frances (Stephens) Eley. Sally loved quilting, gardening, and painting.  She was also a writer for the Senior Scribes.  She enjoyed reading and was a member of a local book club.

Sally was a member of the Trinity Wesleyan Church in Greenville, OH. She was the previous owner of Wright’s Flowers in Union City, OH.  Also a floral designer at the Purple Pansy and Marsh Supermarkets in Greenville, OH.

She and her late husband Larry enjoyed showing draft horses and were farmers in the Union City, OH area.  Her greatest treasure in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, friends, and her faithful canine Maddy Marie Renee Nicole.
She is survived by her children Debby (Terry) Thobe, Duane (Marcia) Amspaugh, and Donny (Paula) Amspaugh.  Also surviving are her grandchildren Jennifer (Doug) Abdoo, Janelle (Zach) Davis, Jared Fritz (companion Tuesday Jones), Justin Fritz (companion Michelle Wehrkamp). Jason, Cory, and Kyle (fiancé Jenny Barenck) Thobe.  Jamie (Bryan) Wright, Jessica (Zach) Ward, Jason Amspaugh (companion Ronnie Wehrkamp), Lauren and Kelsi Amspaugh.

Great grandchildren are Olivia and Isabella Abdoo, Kinley Davis, Caeden Fritz, Brayden Fritz, Payton, Andrew and Ellie Reichard, Dustin and Alysha Wright, Leevi and Nicholas Ward, Ashton Amspaugh, Dylan and Kyle Wehrkamp.

Also surviving are two sisters Sandy (Mike) Grim, Denise (Steve) Beam, and a brother Ed Eley, sister-in-law Donna (Charles) Hill, and brother-in-law Steve (Julie) Amspaugh.  Nieces and nephews are Jodi (Bo) Humphries, Kaelyn and Victoria Humphries, Jalen Claywell, Joel (Dawn) Grim, Ryan, Tyler, and Sarah Grim, Cari (Ryan) Prinkey, Elizabeth and Alexandria Prinkey, Melvin Eley, and Dr. Stephanie (Mike) Pfefferkorn.

In addition Sally’s special friends that survive include Earl Kriegbaum, Sarah Muncey, Pat and Kim Harless, Jack and Jan Shives, Jim and Karen Hummel, and Paul and Ginger Brubaker just to name a few of the many.

Besides her parents, Sally was preceded in death by her husband Larry.

Calling will be Sunday July 24, 2011 from 2-8 PM at the Trinity Wesleyan Church in Greenville, OH.  A celebration of life service will be held Monday July 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM also at the church with one hour of calling prior to services.  Rev. Robert Boyd will be officiating.  Memorial contributions can be made to State of The Heart Hospice of Darke Count or The Trinity Wesleyan Church with envelopes available at the church.
