Barbara L. Buchy
Barbara L. Buchy, age 72, of Columbus, Ohio and formerly of Greenville,
Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 6:59 AM at Willow
Brook Christian Home in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on March 19,
1939 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Joseph & Dorothy (Hathaway)
Schumeth.
Barbara worked for Greenville National Bank, Fram
Corporation, Darke County Courts as well as being a homemaker. She
attended Halderman one-room school house in Greenville before
graduating from Greenville High School in 1957. Barbara loved
gardening, walking, knitting and spending time with friends. She
was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Greenville, Lady Bug Garden
Club, Cancer Support Group, Red Hat Club, Silver Sneakers, and E-Z
Journey Travel Group.
Barbara is survived by her son and daughters in law,
Mark and Elizabeth Buchy of Westerville, Ohio and Brenda Buchy of
Worthington, Ohio; grandchildren, Luke Buchy, Liam Buchy, Anna Buchy,
and Tara Buchy; sister, JoAnn Altic of Greenville.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death
by her son, Todd Buchy.
There will be a Memorial Service held on Tuesday,
December 6, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville,
Ohio, with Pastor Peter Menke officiating. Burial will be in the
Greenville Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio, at the convenience of the
family.
In lieu of flowers it is the wishes of the family
that memorial contributions be given to the St. Paul Lutheran
