Doris S. Cerny
Doris S. Cerny age 85 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 2:15 P.M. on
Friday, December 2, 2011 at her residence. Doris was born December 24,
1925 in Newport, Nebraska, to the late Edward E. & Nellie
(Christensan) Stolcpart.
Doris is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Daryl D. Cerny whom
she married May 23, 1951; sons & daughters-in-law, Neil & Diane
Cerny of Pearland, Texas and David & Julie Cerny of Crawfordsville,
Indiana; grandchildren, B.J. & Shelly Terry, Christopher &
Shannon Cerny, Jamie & Jason Rozenkranz, Jason Cerny, Jared Wilson,
Jeff & Alecia Terry, Melissa & Carlos Ramirez and Robert &
Toni Wilson; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Fern Nolles of Clayton,
Oklahoma and Gladys Sybrant of Bassett, Nebraska; and a cousin, Lloyd
Stolcpart of Bassett, Nebraska.
Doris was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greenville,
where she was formerly a Sunday School Teacher. She was also formerly a
den mother for the Cub Scouts and was formerly a member of the
Greenville School System PTA.
An informal celebration of Doris’s life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on
Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville
with Pastor John Nunnally officiating. The family will receive friends
on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of
flowers, the family request that memorial contributions may be made to
State of the Heart Hospice or a Hospice Organization in your area.
