Marjorie “Midge”
Jeffries
Marjorie “Midge” Jeffries. Our mother has ended what she called
her “full wonderful life” on January 18, 2011 at the Brethren
Retirement Community in Greenville, Ohio, surrounded by her
family. She was born on November 8, 1926 to the late Milton M.
& Regina C. (Duval) Woodbury. She resided in Greenville her
entire life. After graduating from Greenville High school class
of 1944, excelling in bookkeeping, she worked for DP&L, the city
water office, and Darke Rural Electric Cooperative. Active on
many committees for the class of ’44 alumni association, she was an
integral part in keeping this class together for many years.
Her competitive spirit led her to many years of participation on
several bowling leagues including many national events. She was
an avid golfer and will be sorely missed by her golfing buddies.
Midge will be remembered for her incredible strength and love of family
residing in both Ohio and Texas. She leaves behind her son, David
Jeffries; daughter, Linda Morrow; grandchildren, Amber Stump, Carmen
Jeffries, Matthew, Jonathan and Rebecca Morrow; and 8 great
grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank her incredible number of friends for their
love and support. We know you will miss her beautiful smile and
her outrageous sense of humor. She will remain forever in our
hearts and asked us all to remember the good times.
There will be a private memorial service held at the convenience of the
family. In lieu of flowers it is the wishes of the family that
memorial contributions be given to the State of the Heart Hospice,
Greenville High School Musical Department, or charity of your choice.
Condolences for the family may be sent to www.zecharbailey.com.
