James E. Warner
James E. Warner, age 86, formerly of Arcanum, Ohio, passed away on
Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 11:35 PM at the Brethren Retirement
Community in Greenville, Ohio. He was born on November 27, 1924
in Gettysburg, Ohio, to the late Carl & Orpha (Lear) Warner.
James was a self employed farmer from 1950 until he
retired in 1994. He was a member of the United States Navy
serving in WWII. James really enjoyed traveling and was also a
member of the VFW, American Legion, and Elks all in Greenville, Ohio.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death
by his wife, Helen (Thobe) Warner in 2007, whom he married on January
17, 1948; and a brother, Dwight Warner.
He is survived by his sons and daughters in law, Tim
& Linda Warner of Greenville, Dwight & Debbie Warner of
Arcanum, Ohio, and Kris & Biba Warner of Greenville; daughter and
son in law, Cathy & Tom Bourquin of Spring Valley, Ohio; 10
grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brother and sister in law, Jack
& Roberta Warner of Greenville; sister, Phyllis Keeler of
Greenville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a service held on Wednesday, July 27,
2011 at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with
Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in the St.
Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive
friends on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial
contributions be given to the State of the Heart Hospice.
