Thomas “Tom” Wion
Thomas “Tom” Wion, age 68, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday,
July 19, 2011 at 7:05 AM at his residence. He was born on
November 1, 1942 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Harley Wion and Ruth
(Lea) Leedom.
Tom retired from Harrison Radiator in Moraine, Ohio
as a Tool and Die Journeyman. He was the President of the Darke
County Chapter of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He was a
member of the Elks, Eagles, Moose, American Legion all in Greenville,
Ohio, as well as the Darke County Coin Collectors Club. He loved
golfing, fishing, and auctions.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah (Wells) Wion of
Greenville, Ohio, whom he married on March 4, 1993; son and daughter in
law, William & Lisa Wion of Sidney, Ohio; daughter, Nicole Wion of
Greenville, Ohio; step daughter, Heather Hartman of London, Ohio;
grandson, Drew (Erica) Wion of Washington; great grandchildren, Josh
and Cain Wion; sister and brother in law, Mary Lou & Ralph Boyd of
Tennessee; niece and nephews, Tina Raby, Jeff Platt, and David Boyd.
There will be a gathering on Friday, July 22, 2011
from 5-7 PM at the Elks Lodge, 214 West 3rd Street, Greenville,
Ohio. A lodge of sorrow will be conducted by the Elks Lodge on
Friday at 7:00 PM and a memorial services will be held on Friday
following the lodge of sorrow with Pastor Ralph Boyd officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home,
Greenville, Ohio.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial
