Betty J. Garrett
Betty J. Garrett, age 83 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Tuesday
June 21, 2011 at 11:40 AM at Heartland of Greenville. She was
born November 16, 1927 in Greenville, Ohio, the daughter of the late
Howard & Koneta (Sanders) Patton. She was a legal secretary
for prosecuting attorneys Tom Hanes & Lee Fry.
She is preceded in death by her parents;
Husband: James D. Garrett on October 24, 1998.
She is survived by her children: Jack Garrett
of Greenville, Jeanne Higgins of Greenville, Susie Garrett of
Greenville; Grandchildren: Amy (Lee) Obringer, Erin (Scott) Kies;
Great Grandchildren: Jensen, Daphne, McKenna, Austin, Isabella,
Ayden; Brothers & sisters in law: Howard Patton Jr. of
Fairborn, Larry Patton of Denver, Colorado, James Patton of Dayton;
Sisters: Jane Henby of Greenville, Carol Herring of The Villages,
Florida.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 25,
2011 at 11:00 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with
Pastor Sean Lawrence officiating. Burial will be in Greenville
Cemetery at a later date. Family will receive friends 1 hour
prior to services on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial
contributions may be given to Greenville Twp. Rescue. The family
would like to give special thanks to the wonderful people at the Oakley
House and Heartland of Greenville.
