“Jeannie” Hangen
Barbara Jean “Jeannie” Hangen, age 78 of Greenville, Ohio passed away
at 2:45 P.M. Monday June 13, 2011 at the Heartland Nursing Home of
Greenville, Ohio. Jeannie was born September 30, 1932 in Darke
County and the daughter of the late Ben Z. & Ruth (Canan) Miller.
She was a homemaker, a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of
Greenville, enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jeannie was preceded in death by her
husband Richard A. Hangen July 7, 2005; a son Gregory Lee Hangen; and
her sisters Phyllis Buchy and Janet Berner.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law Jeffrey A. & Crystal
A. Hangen of Greenville. Grandchildren Matthew Hangen, Lindsey
Hangen, Chad Garrison and Shelly Schwegel. Great grandchildren
Caden Ray Thompson, Landen Brewer and Tucker Hangen. Also
numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10A.M. Friday June 17, 2011 at the
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with the Rev. Doug Baker
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 8 P.M. in the
funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to
The American Diabetes Association.
