Dorothy G. Powell
Dorothy G. Powell, age 91 of Greenville, Ohio went to be with the Lord
on Thursday June 2, 2011 at 2:00 AM at her residence. She was
born July 4, 1919 in Bay City, Michigan the daughter of the late
William & Florence (Smiley) Singer. She worked at Rest Haven
as a Social Worker and also cleaned houses.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Son: Craig Harmon; &
brothers & sisters.
She is survived by her daughter & son in law: Kandy &
Larry Gamble of Greenville; son & daughter in law: Bill &
Jerry Harmon of Greenville; grandchildren: Allen Nunley of New
York, Edward Nunley of Greenville, Brian Nunley of Union City, April
Sanders of Greenville, Brian Gamble of Brookville, Kevin Gamble of
Minnesota, Jerry Rhoades of Tennessee; numerous great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Monday June 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Zechar
Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Thomas & Rev. Tom Davis
officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Twp. Memorial
Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on
Sunday June 5, 2011 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers
donations may be made to State of the Heart Hospice.
