Mrs. Ruth Fern (Poling) Anderson, age 92 of Greenville, Ohio passed
away at 3:20 A.M. Tuesday March 1, 2011 at the Brethren Retirement
Community Greenville, Ohio. Ruth was born February 6, 1919 in
Rossburg, Ohio and the daughter of the late Henry & Laria (Bertram)
Tegtmeyer.
She was retired from Second National Bank of Greenville and prior to
that she had been employed at the former Whitecotton Drug Store and the
Greenville Baking Company.
Ruth enjoyed arts and crafts, knitting, sewing, crocheting, and bowling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first
husband William Eugene Buckingham, her second husband William Poling
and her third husband John A. Anderson. Also her brothers
Delbert, Bernard and Harold Tegtmeyer. Her sisters Lucille Walls,
Mildred Boyer, Luella Gilmore and Infant Sister Ruby Tegtmeyer.
Ruth is survived by her daughters Joy Grody of Dayton, Brenda Miller of
Centerville, Ohio and Shelba Fitzgerald of Greenville. Also 7
grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Monday March 7, 201l in the
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Todd Reish
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 1 PM until time of the
services in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to
the Brethren Retirement Community Resident’s Aid Fund.
