Bennett Greenhoff
Mrs. Florence “Flo” Bennett Greenhoff, age 100+10mos, of Greenville,
OH, passed away on March 25, 2011 at 5:30 a.m. She was born in 1910 in
Darke County, OH to the late Samuel F. and Fannie L. (Martin) Trick.
She worked full-time jobs throughout her life at such places as Fram,
the Jack and Jill Shop and Snell’s Restaurant in Greenville, while also
raising 3 children. She was a member of the Greenville Missionary
Church, played 7 musical instruments, was an accomplished seamstress,
and a great cook, loved music, art, computer games, and letter writing.
Flo made friends easily and enjoyed the company of friends of all ages,
entertaining often in her home.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first
husband of 57 years, Ralph Bennett; her second husband of 5 ½ years,
Doyle Greenhoff; and 2 sisters and 6 brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Ron (Iris) Bennett of Verona, Ohio and
Dale (Carol) Bennett of Naples, FL; daughter, Darlene (Mark) Miller of
Naples, FL.; stepson Ron (Jane) Greenhoff of Union City, IN;
stepdaughter, Jean (Don) Longfellow of Winchester, IN; 6 grandchildren;
11 great grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; brother, Lloyd
(Delores) Trick; as well as numerous nieces
and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Zechar-Bailey
Funeral Home, Greenville, OH with Rev. Elwood Stuart officiating.
Burial will follow in Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville, OH.
Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the
funeral home. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to
State of the Heart Hospice, 1350 N Broadway, Greenville, OH 45331 or
Avow Hospice, 1095 Whipporwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.
