Dorothy M. Henry
Dorothy M. Henry age 87 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away at 9:23 P.M.
on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at her residence. Dorothy was born November
8, 1923 in Shelby County, Ohio, to the late Henry & Marcella
(Subler) Dapore.
Dorothy was a homemaker and assisted her husband on
the dairy farm. Dorothy was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in
Versailles; Daughters of Isabella of the church; Darke County Farm
Bureau; Wayne Grange; D.A.V. Ladies Auxiliary; and Kentucky Chapter of
83rd Infantry Division.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy is also preceded
in death by a great grandchild, Mary Elizabeth Weaver; and a sister,
Dolores Henry.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Alfred L. Henry
whom she married December 15, 1943; son & daughter-in-law, A. Larry
& Sylvia Henry Jr. of Versailles; daughters & sons-in-law,
Barbara & Jerry Weaver of Clayton, Joyce & James Chilcote of
Toledo, and Cheryl & Dale Leach Jr. of Versailles; grandchildren,
Rebecca Henry, Tammy Henry, Janell Henry, Elizabeth Fredette, Keith
Weaver, Marcella Chaney, Anthony Weaver, Julie Chilcote, Jamie
Chilcote, Jeff Chilcote, Christopher Leach and David Leach; 27 great
grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Joseph Henry of Versailles and Paul
Henry of Versailles; sisters-in-law, Bertha Bryan of Piqua and Ann
Henry of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday,
April 2, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles
with Rev. Fr. David Vincent celebrant. Burial will follow in St.
Valbert Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on
Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00
A.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial
