Landis
Carol Ellen (Edger) Landis, age 84, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on
Sunday, May 15, 2011 at 5:00 AM at Sterling House in Greenville,
Ohio. She was born on April 11, 1927 in Neave Township, Ohio, to
the late Ira D. & Leola (Troutman) Edger.
Carol worked in Sales and was a member of the Coletown Christian
Church. She really enjoyed watching basketball and reading.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband,
Clyde Oliver Landis whom she married on July 3, 1946.
She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Philip & Mary
Landis of Land O Lake, Florida and John & April Landis of
Greenville, Ohio; granddaughter, Kelly Mason; great grandchildren,
Lukes and Danielle Mason; sister and brother in law, Mary Ann & Ron
VanVickle of Greenville; brothers in law and sisters in law, Jane
Landis of Greenville, Junior Landis of Greenville, Glenn &
Charlotte Gessler of Statesville, N.C. and Irene Light of Granger, IN;
as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a service held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at
Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Eric Knight
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenmound Cemetery, New
Madison, Ohio. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the
service at the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to
