Margaret M. Streib
Margaret M. Streib age 99 of Versailles, Ohio, passed away at 3:51 A.M.
on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. Margaret
was born February 11, 1912 in Shelby County, Ohio, to the late John E.
& Margaret (Gariety) Pepiot.
Margaret formerly worked at Buckeye Overall in
Versailles where she was a seamstress. She was a member of St. Denis
Catholic Church in Versailles and the Versailles Senior Citizens.
In addition to her parents, Margaret is also
preceded in death by her husband, Paul Streib on April 11, 1985 whom
she married February 28, 1935; son, James Lee Streib; son-in-law, Ed
Monnin; grandson, Doug Streib; granddaughter, Tina Streib; brothers,
Ralph and Clarence Pepiot; and sisters, Bertha Monnin and Ann White
Bergman.
Margaret is survived by a son & daughter-in-law,
Dan & Nancy Streib of Versailles; daughters & sons-in-law, Joy
Monnin of Tipp City, Roberta & Roger Gariety of Houston and Debra
& Mike Fritz of Tipp City; daughter-in-law, Carol Streib of
Webster; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Yvette
Groff of Versailles; brother-in-law, Norman & Ginny Streib of North
Carolina; sister-in-law, Charlotte Streib of Piqua; and numerous nieces
and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30
A.M. on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at St. Denis Catholic Church in
Versailles with Rev. Fr. David Vincent celebrant. Burial will follow in
St. Valbert Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on
Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and Thursday morning from 9:00 to
10:00 A.M. at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial
contributions may be made to Darke County Cancer Association.
