Jerome B. “Jerry” Heitkamp, age 85 of Versailles, Ohio passed away on
Wednesday October 26, 2011 at 1:55 AM at Versailles Health Care Center,
Versailles, Ohio. He was born March 29, 1926 in Maria Stein, Ohio
the son of the late Leo & Clara (Bills) Heitkamp. He was a
farmer.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, lifetime member of the
Knights of Columbus, lifetime member of NFO, past member of the
Versailles & Minster Eagles, past member of the Farmers Union,
& past board member of Minster Farmers CO-OP.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 3 infant grandchildren;
Brother: Edgar Heitkamp; Sisters: Dorina Rindler, Evelyn
Kahlig, Edna Kahlig; Brothers in law: John Dircksen, Tom Niekamp.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Mary Ann (Hilgefort) Heitkamp of
Versailles whom he married June 9, 1948; Children & spouses:

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday October 29, 2011 at
10:30 AM at St. Denis Catholic Church 14 E. Wood Street, Versailles,
Ohio with Rev. Fr. David Vincent Celebrant. Burial will follow in
Holy Family Cemetery, Frenchtown, Ohio. Family will receive
friends from 2:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday October 28, 2011 and from 9:00
to 10:00 AM on Saturday October 29, 2011 at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home,
Versailles, Ohio. Memorial Contributions may be made to State of
The Heart Hospice or St. Peters Neurological Center 78 West Main
Street, Burkettsville, Ohio 45310.
