Minnich Sr.
David R. “Roy” Minnich Sr. age 74 of Greenville, Ohio was called home
on the morning of August 30, 2011. He was born June 4, 1937 in
Webster, Ohio the son of the late Lewis Alpha & Margaret Matilda
(Teegarden) Minnich. He was a diesel and aircraft mechanic.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and Vietnam
War. He was a member of the Greenville Moose Lodge, Greenville
Eagles, Greenville V.F.W., Greenville American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his parents; 1st
Wife: Ruth (Cox) Minnich; 2nd Wife: Becky Minnich; Sons:
David Roy Minnich Jr., Curtis Alan Denniston; Grandchildren:
William “Will” Minnich, Abigail Rene Minnich; Sisters: Lois Jean
Aslinger, Martha Vandriff, Darlene June.
He is survived by his children: Mary Margaret
Dickey of Georgia, Lisa Rose of New Carlisle, Brad Denniston, Kent
Minnich of Greenville, Steve Minnich of Greenville; numerous
grandchildren & great grandchildren; Sisters & brothers in
law: Betsy Garner of Richmond, Indiana, Phyllis & Wayne
Summers of Greenville, Mabel & William Kiser of Greenville, Fayetta
Lines of Greenville, Numerous nieces & nephews; Special Friend
Sharon Hart of Greenville.
Services will be held on Saturday September 3, 2011
at 10:30 AM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Rev.
Vic Reffey officiating. Burial will follow in Gettysburg
Cemetery, Gettysburg, Ohio. Family will receive friends from 6:00
to 9:00 PM on Friday September 2, 2011 at the funeral home. In
lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family to
help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
