Mary C. Quellhorst
Mary C. Quellhorst, age 80, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on
September 9, 2011 at 3:27 AM at her residence. She was born on
May 2, 1931 in Greenville, Ohio, to the late Chester & Sara
(Crawford) Miller.
Mary was retired from Greenville School System where she was a 2nd
grade teacher at Woodland Heights. She was a member of the First
United Methodist Church. A graduate of Miami University, a member
of Coterie Literary Sorority, Darke County Retired Teachers Association
and Darke County Republican Party. Mary was involved with the
Garst Museum and Greenville City Library.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother,
William E. “Bill” Miller.
She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Jon & Rose
Quellhorst of Greenville and Jeff & Krista Quellhorst of
Greenville; daughters and sons in law, Julie & Scott McMiller of
Troy, Ohio, and Jane & Todd Hartzell of Greenville; grandchildren,
Sarah (Tom) Porto, Meredith McMiller, Kaitlin, Olivia, and Eli
Quellhorst, Hannah & Isaiah Hartzell; and a niece, Martha Jane
Ouimet of Texas.
There will be a memorial service held on Saturday, September 17, 2011
at 12:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 202 West 4th Street,
Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Joe Payne and Pastor Don Myers
co-officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery,
Greenville, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Saturday,
September 17, 2011 from 10:00 – 12:00 at the church prior to the
service. Arrangements are under the direction of Zechar Bailey
Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
