Virginia Herbst
Virginia Herbst, age 91, Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Friday, April
13, 2012 at 12:37 PM at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
She was born on April 7, 1921 in Darke County, Ohio, to the late Samuel
& Osa (Pepple) Force.
She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Rodney & Charlene
Applegate of Greenville; daughter and son in law, Bonnie & George
Lucas of Grayslake, Illinois; grandchildren, David, Robin, Heather,
Alex and Shane; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Francis Flory of
Greenville, numerous nieces and nephews; and lifelong special friend
Thelma Beck. The family would like to express there appreciation
to Teresa for all her love, support and kindness she showed towards
their mother.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first
husband, Dean Applegate; second husband, Don Herbst; son, Douglas
Applegate; daughter, Linda Meeks; siblings, Raymond, Edwin, Don,
Charles, Louella, Mabel and Bonnie.
Virginia was a homemaker and loved to play bingo.
There will be a private service held at the convenience of the
family. Burial will be in the Gettysburg Cemetery, Gettysburg,
Ohio. There will be no public visitation. Arrangements are
under the direction of Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville,
Ohio.
It is the wishes of the family that memorial contributions be given to
