John
R. Swisher, age 54 of Ansonia, Ohio passed away at 11:14 A.M. Tuesday
August 21, 2012 in the emergency room of Wayne HealthCare Center
Greenville, Ohio. John was born November 13, 1957 in Greenville, Ohio
and the son of Lucille (Eager) Swisher of Ansonia and the late Clifford
C. Swisher who passed away July 9, 1982.
John was retired
and a member of the Union City, Indiana Eagles Lodge, the Sons of the
V.F.W. of Union City, Ohio and enjoyed working with chickens, ducks and
rabbits.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister Catherine Carleen Swisher October 10, 1956.
John
is survived by his mother; son Josh M. Swisher of Greenville; daughter
Julie M. Swisher of Greenville and her friend Charlie Miller of
Greenville; granddaughter Cheyenne Swisher of Greenville; brother Ed
Swisher of Greenville; sister Becky Swisher of Ansonia; niece Lauren
Swisher of Ansonia and her fiancé Matthew Freshour and John’s former
spouse and mother of his
children Joyce (Rismiller) Swisher of Ansonia.
Funeral
Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday August 24, 2012 in the Zechar
Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with Pastor Peter Menke
officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. The family
will receive friends on Friday from 12 Noon until time of the services
in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to the Darke County Poultry Department.
