Margaret E. Constable
Margaret E. Constable, 76, of Greenville, passed away Wednesday
afternoon, December 12, 2012 in the emergency room at Wayne Healthcare
in Greenville.
She was born December 7, 1936 in Harrison Township, Preble County,
Ohio, daughter of the late Russell H. and Annetta (McKay) Miller. In
addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband,
Charles Robert Constable, Sr on August 8, 1987; and a brother, Herbert
Miller in infancy.
Margaret was retired from Wayne Healthcare having worked
in the linen department. She continued as a volunteer for the hospital
after her retirement for many years. She had also worked at Hamilton,
Harris and Fowler wholesale of Richmond, IN and Wendy's in Greenville.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Greenville and
DAR Fort Greenville and Preble County. She had been recognized by the
Darke County Blood Bank for having donated over 10 gallons of blood
over the years. She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Ohio State
Football, and Nascar Racing and loved to collect covered bridges,
especially ones of Preble county.
She is survived by her sons, Charles R. (Robin) Constable,
Jr. of Arcanum, James A. (Carol) Constable of Eaton, Lee R. (Anita)
Constable of West Manchester, and Scott (Vicky) Constable of
Greenville; grandchildren, Nicholas Constable, Dillon R. Constable,
Casey Jo Constable, Jeffrey Constable, Nick Woodruff, and Austin
Constable; a great grandson, Dylan Constable; a brother, Joseph M.
(Mary Kay) Miller of Laura; special niece, Anne Marie (Dave) Kress of
West Milton; great nephews, Webb and Tyler; a sister-in-law, Evelyn
(Charles) Boyd of Arizona; and 2 nieces and nephew and great nieces and
nephews.
Services will be held at 2:30, Saturday, December 15,
2012, at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Pastor Joe
Payne officiating. The DAR will have their memorial service beginning
at 2:30. Burial will follow in the Old Teegarden Cemetery near Ansonia,
Ohio.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1
p.m. to 2:30 p.m. It was her requests for those wanting to donate blood
in her memory or the Brethren Retirement Community Resident Aid Fund or
the donor's charity choice.
