Betty J. Paulus
Betty J. Paulus, age 88 of Greenville, Ohio passed away at 10:45 A.M.
Thursday February 9, 2012 at Wayne Health Care Center of Greenville.
Ohio. She was born May 22, 1923 in Darke County, Ohio and the
daughter of the late Russell E. and Weltha M. (Henninger) Townsend.
Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Rossburg United Methodist
Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband
Noah H. Paulus January 11, 1995. They were married December
27, 1938. Also by a daughter Barbara Ann Trent in 1962; sons in
law David Thornhill and Bimmy Schmidt; brothers Warren Townsend as an
infant, Lowell Townsend and Galen Townsend; sisters Shirley Laux and
Dorothy Murphy.
Betty is survived by daughters and son in law Patricia and Thomas Baker
of Greenville, Esther Schmidt and Karen Thornhill both of
Greenville. Son and daughter in law David H. and Rose Mary Paulus
of Greensboro, Georgia. There are nine grandchildren, thirteen
great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; sisters Doris
Paulus of New Madison and Jeanie Strawser of Greenville as well as
numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday February 11, 2012
in the Zechar Bailey Funeral Home Greenville, Ohio with the Rev. Joe
Soley officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenville Township
Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday
from 9 A.M. until time of the services in the funeral home.
It is the wishes of the family that Memorial Contributions be given to
Hospice of Darke County.
