Annabelle Louise
(Oswalt) Stamper
Annabelle Louise (Oswalt) Stamper, age 84, of Greenville, Ohio, passed
away on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 4:00 PM at Miami Valley Hospital,
Dayton, Ohio. She was born on July 15, 1927 in Darke County,
Ohio, to the late Claude L. and Harriet M. (Brumbaugh) Oswalt.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Stamper on Jan. 30,
1993, whom she married on February 4, 1950; parents; son, Steven A.
Stamper on November 25, 1993; brother, Walter H. Oswalt on August 20,
1999.
Annabelle is survived by her beloved family; daughters and son in law,
Sharyn Lynn (Doug) Harman of Arcanum, Ohio, and Suzanne Mary Stamper of
Union City, Ohio; grandsons, Jason D. (Jamee) Harman of New Madison,
Ohio, Travis M. Harman of Arcanum, Ohio, and Randy Kenneth Youmans of
Union City, Ohio; great granddaughters, Brooklyn Jae Harman and
Kearstin Renee Auske; sister, Sara Shultz of Indianapolis, Indiana;
sisters in law, Ann Stamper of Miamisburg, Ohio, and Jean Poynter of
Dayton, Ohio; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Annabelle was a member of the Fort Greenville Chapter DAR having held
the office of Registrar and doing research on her Revolutionary War
ancestors. A member of Darke County Genealogical Society entering
her Darke County Pioneer families and Darke County First
Families. She and her husband did research at Grayson County
(Virginia) Historical Society in Independence, Virginia, researching
her husband’s ancestors. She was a Girl Scout Leader in Arcanum
and helped with the cub scouts and 4-H when her children were
younger. She also judged 4-H projects for the county fair.
She was a 1945 graduate of Greenville High School.
There will be a service held on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM
at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Rev. John
McRoberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbottsville
Cemetery, Darke County, Ohio. Family will receive friends one
hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
