Phillip “Boob” North
Phillip “Boob” North, 74 of Greenville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday
July 4, 2012 at 1:40 AM at Wayne Healthcare, Greenville, Ohio. He
was born November 3, 1937 in Darke County, Ohio the son of the late
Clarence & Roma (Fritz) North.
He worked as a truck driver for 23 years; custodian at Greenville High
School for 9 years; and worked as a pressman for the Daily Advocate for
10 years retiring in April of 2000; he also was Santa Claus for
the city for several years.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son: Doug North on
September 20, 1999; sisters: Joan Cheadle, & Sharon Reed;
brothers: Clarence Jr., & Gene North.
He is survived by his wife: Leota (Rohr) North of Greenville whom
he married November 12 1955; daughter: Dana North & her
husband Derek Watson of Boston, Indiana; grandchildren: Miles
& Ella Watson, Michael Cost and his wife Amy; brother: Ronnie
North of Greenville; sisters & brothers in law: Marsha
Schafer of Eaton, Ohio, Pat & Harold Wogoman of Greenville, Connie
& Larry Beuter of Lima, Ohio, Diane & Jim Rohrer of Greenville;
numerous nieces & nephews.
Graveside memorial service will be held on Tuesday July 10, 2012 at
10:30 AM at Abbottsville Cemetery with Rev. Terry Haworth
officiating. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are
being handled by Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
